Not exactly. Black style moassels no matter the brand is always less harsh, lastly longer and has better flavour when you smoke it with foil and decent heat management. Some people do smoke it the way one would smoke tombac. I've done it both ways and that is definitely not a good idea. As to Zaghloul specifically I can't say how it's normally done in Egypt because i've only been to Egypt a few times and only smoked Zaghloul there once (the guy that set it up used a screen). Still, in all the other places I've been black style moassel is almost always smoked with foil or a screen.
Tombac on the other hand is smoked without a screen/foil about 75% in my experience no matter where you go.
