Since we're on the topic of cultural differences, I'll add my own trivia.

In French-speaking Quebec, shisha is used to describe the moassel, while the word hookah is not used at all. Instead, "shisha pipe" is the most widely used term. "Pipe shisha" literally "pipe for shisha". Hookah lounges are shisha lounges
