If they are naturals,using a pan is not going to do it,unless the pan gets red hot.If your stove is gas, try using bbq tongs to hold the coal,if it is electric,just put the coal on the element until red hot.If you don't like getting ashes all over the place,buy a electric hotplate(single burner stove) I think it was a Walgreens website I had seen them.
