I'm sorry Chad but that is the dumbest shit I've ever heard, do you have any idea how hot a pan gets when you cook? between 300-500*f. wow. I've been hardcore cooking on high heat for 10 years and burning natural coals for 2 years on a stove like that, I've never had a pan burn through my house. Insane.

Matt, thanks for your info, it is believable and relevant, I wonder if it differs per stove brand? Do you have the threads or articles discussing what happened to these people?
