no, this is what i am trying to point out, none of the "clay bowls" are clay, they are ceramic because they are fired and there fore stable. they should be called glazed and unglazed. calling the unglazed bowls clay is like calling glass "sand". i guess its a pet peeve but there is a large technical difference, maybe im just being an A-hole though
how ever the unglazed bowl has a chance to pick up flavors and let charred bits to stick in more since the surface is rough and is slightly porous, nothing big, just something to be aware of
