how ever the unglazed bowl has a chance to pick up flavors and let charred bits to stick in more since the surface is rough and is slightly porous, nothing big, just something to be aware of

It seems most people talk about getting/using this bowl (an Egyptian) (besides a phunnel/vortex) - which they apparently, mistakenly call clay:

It seems like the Egyptian one is shiny and glazed as well.
Are you saying only the third one is a good bowl?
