I've seen those things but never used them. It seems that what is needed for a tombac bowl to well is a few large holes to help with the airflow and a lot area to set the leaf down. I would guess that tall bowls wouldn't work that well since it would be hard to manage the coals. What I really want is one of the big brass or wooden tombac bowls they make Iran and Caucus nations but i've never had the chance to buy one or I didn't think to do it when I could have.
well the party bowls have a few large holes and a good amount of area ( 9 holes, 3.5 inch wide and about an inch deep)... i just dont know if i have the balls to try tombac
