Yea, you just have a little too much CO loaded on your hemoglobin in your Red Blood Cells. It has a much higher affinity for hemoglobin than oxygen (something like 200 times as much), so it will take a couple days to recover completely. Its was def from the coals. The sickness from nicotine would wear off in a few hours.

I wouldn't suggest smoking until you are in the clear, you need as much oxygen saturation as possible.
