Well that's a question i have been having since, I'm going to start to wrestle in competitions and junk. Based off of what people say ,sometimes, an occasional session wont impede your performance.
Im a wresting coach for highschool, i smoke a pack a day plus a bowl or two of hookah per day. It doesnt impede my proformance at all, but that may just be me. I think a lot of it is mental when it comes to letting things hold you back. When i did compete i used to wrestle with sprains and such and just pushed through it, plus once youve spent a week cutting weight for a match you dont notice much else except the hunger.
