You could also plop some jb weld (or any other not too runny epoxy) at the opening, avoiding the top and outside threaded edges, which will esentially cover the hole inside entirely and then drill a hole through the epoxy, this'll give you a perfect circle and keep the bent edges where the air is leaking filled.
