personally i never use baking soda except maybe on my hoses or if the stem has a smell that the vinegar doesnt kick out. i use a small funnel to get stuff into my stems. and yes always rise everything out with a lot of water.

if the inners of the stem and chamber are smooth unlike the myas they you can get away with just water for your general washes. i usually rinse, brush the stem, rinse and then push paper towel through on my KM that is smooth and twist up some paper towel and dry out the chamber tubes.
