as soon as i have the very little money i need for it, im placing an open ice chamber (open meaning that the ice and smoke touch as opsed to a km chamber where the down stem touches the ice) mid way on the down stem, closer to the water. in theroy the heat from the bowl and tray (which often collects discarded coals that are still warm) wont melt ice as fast, it should also give the smoke a little cooling time while also giving the total hookah some stability, since it wont be as top heavy. i know what i need to get for the project and its actually cheap.
