It's locally made but since I am not knowledgeable about Tunisian narghiles I can't say much other then the hose is a nice example of local craftsmanship. The downtube is brass and the main stem is spun metal style construction. It's odd to have a permanently attached bowl and the bowl it self is odd and I am not sure what it's meant to be used with.
He did say the person who sold it to him claimed it was hand made, and I don't doubt that, especially with the obvious welds.
I was confused about the bowl as well. It seems so small that almost an insignificant amount of tobacco would fit into it. Because it's attached, cleaning the stem and bowl would be difficult. I thought maybe it would be more for tombac or something where the coals are directly on it, but I don't have any experience with that kind of smoking other than what I've read on here.
