Re: How long do you use an unwashable hose?
Even before they start flaking they can be gross. I had a Mya hose that I thought was nice, dry, and really just plain miraculous. Upon taking it apart, about a year into its life, to use the ends for a homemade hose I found that the sludge-like mess within the hose was preventing the chunks from being sucked off of the rusty coil. I kind of like the stock Mya hoses because they have the flexibility of a leather hose without the handle which makes them far more portable.
