I have the phunnel, vortex, mya ceramic bowl, and Egyptian bowls and it all comes down to how well you pack each bowl. If you know how to pack these bowls correctly, you will always get a very enjoyable session. At this point it really makes no difference to me. They're all perfect in their own way. I think for the novice the vortex and phunnel are definitely a good choice and hard to mess up. I like using the phunnel with al fakher because I don't want the juice dripping on my tray or into the stem. Other than that, there's not much difference.
