If it's ok I'd like to tag a question onto this thread of my own...unfortunately I heat my coals on a gas stove too. I currently place the coals on a piece of gauze but it still takes at least 15- 20 mins to get some decent heat. I've even bought a small blowtorch to try and speed up proceedings. Is it still ok to have some black colouring on the coal? Also is 2 Cocobricos enough for this type of bowl?

Or would you use 3? Struggling at the moment without a windcover, I bought a new KM last week but my old windcover doesn't fit it.
