I can see why a "smoking ban" should keep smoke out of restaurants...But if your business is designated as a "hookah lounge", whether there is food or not should be irrelevant. It's quite insulting to the very culture and tradition behind it. It's like telling bars they can either serve alcohol, or broadcasting sporting events, but not both
The state collects a substantial amount of tax from such venues, right? Why, at this particular time, would they want to cripple such businesses? Last time I checked, MI was in an entire dimension of hurt financially.
Is this public-driven legislation? Or just politicians picking on "problems" they are big enough to "solve"?
