Also, if the bearing keeps hanging up on you, open the purge valve cap, assuming that it will come apart. It should. Take a look and see if there are any tiny burrs in it from machining/drilling. that are causing the bearing to remain unseated. If so, lightly remove them with a little piece of emory cloth. Then, it's not a bad idea to lightly coat the bearing with a bit of vegetable oil so it, 1) will retard rust, and 2) will move about the purge valve smoothly without hangups. Hope this is helpful.
