Yeah, Syrian stems are also all one solid piece. With KM's, each piece of the stem is soldered to the other, around a tube. It doesn't even have the capability of being as ornamental as a Syrian for that reason. The Tri-Metal is as close as they can possibly get. I'm sure the time spent on the construction of a KM is about half of that of a Syrian.
many syrian stems are in fact solid.But there are alot of syrian narghille that are not only pieced together, but in fact have each segment threaded so the stem can be broken down for cleaning and/or storage. this is a feature common on many indigenous syrian shisha.
