It just seems that if it tastes more like sugar it may be that for some reason the way it was packed or the holes or where the coal is placed the mod got super heated. Glass gets hot fairly easily so if the coal was right over the mod it could have gotten good and hot and cooked over time caramelized the honey.
glass gets got but it sucks at conducting it. but the coals were near the edge (im in the group that hangs coals off the edge of the bowl usually, sometimes to the point of being unsafe)
reality, what tobaccos can you not smoke out of a normal bowl? personally ive had better luck with tangiers even in my mod bowl than in my phunnel, just gota pack the tangiers a little different in a standard bowl but all other tobaccos have been fine for me
