tea instead of water

so i am fairly new to the hookah experience. i have heard of people putting wine and coffee in the base instead of water. what about tea, does it change the flavour any, will it do anything bad to me, will it mess up my hookah? anyway, i hope the day finds you all well

I put iced tea in my base on occasion. I only do it when im going to smoke Nakhla Cardamom. I'm smoking some right now actually! Just make sure you clean it out real well with lemon juice and baking soda afterwards, and i will not have any negative effects on the hookah. You will get some flavor from the tea in the base, and it compliments the cardamom very well. Good luck with the experimenting!

I've used tea in the base, it's a nice addition. Earl Grey w/Earl Grey, Jasmine w/Jasmine. But it's not a big enough of an enhancement for me to make a point of using tea. I just use it if I have enough already made up and iced.

one really awesome one i've found is mint tea... in any application where you might usually use some mint moassel as a mixer... or even if you are using mint moassel. It might just be me but it seems like I can take one hell of a bigger pull with tea in it than water...

ps - i make the mint tea, then ice it so the base liquid is still cool...

I put hot teas in the vase at times lol... yes hot tea. i smoke tangiers peach iced tea with peach hot tea in the vase... very tasty!!

When i smoke mint i have green tea, next time i smoke some mizo mint, im gonna put some green tea in the base

I'm very curious about the coke! Do you put 100% coke or do you mix it with water perhaps? I can imagine it frothing up no?

U quite like the idea of putting iced tea in the base, or iced green tea. I wouldnt be too sure about putting hot tea though, i cracked a vase like that many years ago

Put hot tea in the base! the smoke is hot as hell but is good! dont bother me much i used to smoke a lot of cigarettes like 3 packs a day but i quit cigarettes

It definitely seems like hot tea would make a nicer flavor...I may have to try Earl Grey squared this weekend.
