[HOWTO] DIY Hookah Hose Hanger [pics]
I decided I needed to find a better way to hang up my hookah hose. Wrapping it around the stem worked alright, I guess. But I'm me. And alright wasn't going to cut it.
After thinking for a cool second and a half, I had decided what I needed to do: make a DoItYourself hose hanger, and show y'all how to do it too.  Materials: [LIST][*]wire coat hanger[*]heat shrink tubing[/LIST]Tools (optional): [LIST][*]pliers[*]gloves[/LIST] Now, on to how I did it. Take your wire coat hanger and unbend it. Clip off the stupid twisted ends, you won't want to use those. You don't have to totally straighten your hanger, but it may help. You won't be using the whole thing. Now, bend it into a small loop, big enough to go around your stem wherever you want it. You'll be clamping it later. Make sort of the shape you see in the picture below. Next, slip on the heat shrink tubing. This is to make sure the metal coat hanger doesn't scratch your stem. Shrink it up with a lighter/heat gun/hair dryer/other heat source.   Bend it out straight after the loop slightly if needed, your setup may be different from mine. After that, make the drop in the wire. Make it hang as low as you need it to. Make a note of where to cut it, and clip off the excess wire. Then, bend the wire up to make the hook of the hanger. Cover the rest of it in heat shrink tubing and shrink it up.  Open the loop enough to slip it over wherever you wanted on your stem. Then gently clamp it tight. Hang up your hose and enjoy!
