I've done a lot of searching still need some advice.

I cannot get this mod bowl to smoke right. I'm using AF peach and coconaras with an Egyptian hookah. It smOkes great for the first 10 minutes once I rotate the coals it starts to smoke harsh

too much heat. how many coconaras are you using and are you using a windcover?

No wind cover I've been using three to start up on edges then take one off and I get great smoke and clouds. But then it's starts to die and if I put the third back on it gets harsh

windcover will fix that...you could try stacking that 3rd coal on top the other 2

Why would you want to avoid it? It's one of the most crucial accessories one can buy. Works wonders!

ooh Game of thrones reference, lol. my wife just rolls her eyes, as long as the bills are paid it's cool to her. Take a 1 lb coffee can and make one. Cut both the ends out of it and use a can opener to punch a few holes around the top. homemade turkish wind cover.

Thanks I saw that already I was going to attempt it. Now 1 last question how long should it take for the bowl to warm up/smokable with a cover?

I let it warm up 3-5 minutes (depending on my patience) with a wind cover.

I had the same problem with AF. So heres what you do:1)get an egyptain bowl, dense pack it in, and use 2 cocos w/ a windcover off and on.
I got an hourish before harsh smoke, but it was my first dense pack and i was using ql's. So it might take a few tries but AF is pretty good once smoked properly.

Ok so I wound up using the foil wind cover and it was actually pretty good. I decided to also test out splitting the cocos in two. Then I place them in a square formation did wonders. Delicious smoke no harshness. I'm pretty satisfied right now
