I placed an order December 6th with them and received everything except the $115 KM I originally placed the order for. They tried telling me everything was sent when they wrote on the invoice it was backordered. I've been calling and emailing them for the past 2 1/2 weeks no response, nothing. Really disappointed that they can't even return an email and let me know what the story is after I spent $115 for a hookah I haven't gotten yet.

I see everyone getting bad experiences here....I decided to go to their store front (nice selection) and they gave me a KM Kafe for $50. with all the accessories and the normal price was more like $80-90. He was a nice guy, willing to help me out.

I tried hookahset.com the other week. The prices are very appealing, and the shipping is fairly cheap. However, my order was pretty dramatically incorrect. I got 2 nakhla chocomint instead of a chocomint and a cardamon. I got nakhla cola instead of rose. I got Amaren (no flavor) instead of mizo apricot. And my phunnel bowl arrived green when I specified black. I had already unpackaged everything, so when I called customer support they told me they couldn't help me. Prior to finding this out, they told me I'd have to ship everything back to be corrected. This would have been a pain in the ass and I wouldn't have done it even if I hadn't opened the product. The prices are great, but not DEFINITELY not worth the awful customer service that I myself and many others have experienced. 2/10

Yeah they also can't wait to put you on a Tangiers wait list.

I purchased a sizable amount from them as they said they just got a bunch in and I was desperate for some given the last year of shortages.

Well. They called days later to say they didn't have most of the Tangiers, overcharged me by 20% over what my invoice said, etc. Then I agreed that I would be willing to wait 2 weeks for a call from them on the tang.

Well. Three weeks went by and I called them. They had none of it which is funny because....I know someone who went to their shop and bought most of the flavors that were on my 'backorder'. I asked for a refund after that and got it without too much hassle (but OH, YOU CAN STAY ON THE WAITLIST !...aka Tangiers prugatory).

Still its shady and overselling product only to put people on a wait list is just awful. I felt strung around the whole time and to find that they were selling product direct when customers were on backorder is well.... You decide.

2nd order in 4 years and still no better than the first..

Was supposed to get Next Day Air........... didn't happen.

Placed an order about a week before Christmas. AFTER Christmas I got a package......... that wasn't even mine. I'm in FL, this one was supposed to be in CA!? Had all of this kids contact info so I got ahold of him after multiple emails to hookahset went unanswered. (His name, phone, email and address were all there for me to see, which I became very uncomfortable with not knowing where MY package was at this point that had all of MY info in it)

Kept in touch with the kid and he ended up getting MY package.


Just got it after MULTIPLE conversations with hookahset (Mark) and was missing multiple items; he did not offer me anything towards future purchases; no remorse for the mix-up. About a 3 1/2 week ordeal. RIDICULOUS.

I'm (still) so frustrated that I don't even want to contact them to inquire about what my order was missing.

Sucks because they have AWESOME prices and deals but dare you get someone without a brain putting the boxes/orders together......

Wish I had a better experience but don't think another one is worth it. I'll go spend more money at a more reputable place and carry on.

First order with them was a little sketchy but that may because it was the holiday time. I did the price match on their site and picked up a KM Kafe for $55 shipped and it arrived in exactly a week, packed beautifully and ready to go.

Previously I had only bought directly from the mid east so if anyone could tell me what to look for to make sure I got what I ordered (KM Classic Apple 32") it would be greatly appreciated. So far, ordered late saturday, processed mid-day monday and marked as shipped, tuesday tracking number was added but no record of it with ups as of yet. Still so far it looks like everything is good! I will update this post as soon as it arrives (I am in NOLA so hopefully by the weekend).

I just placed a SECOND order that was messed up...... I bought the hookah package and although the shipping was fast, my hookah was broken.

I ordered some starbuzz with a big $100+ order and it showed it was in stock but it wasn't. They didn't even contact me to ask if I wanted something different, they just subtracted it from the amount I paid and sent it out.

Placed an order Thursday night for 750g cane mint and 64 piece Leonara package. Shipped Friday and now here on Monday. Quick shipping from across the US and everything came in perfect. 10/10.

I have placed about 12 orders from them, they range from about $80-$250. I have several friends that order from them. Most of the orders were great and got here very quick. Accuracy of orders has been good. They have done few minor mistakes and they always replace the 1 kg by 4 x 250 g which is fine. They charge $39 for international shipping and we are not allowed to use any coupons if we order from Canada.

The downside, about third of the orders, you have to beg to get a tracking number and it is delayed. I feel that they do not have what you ordered in stock and just buy time by ignoring you or giving excuses such as international orders tracking numbers need 3 business days and we will send it in one day and then they say they will send it in two hours. Mark sent me saying that they had my tracking number yesterday and they should send it but nothing yet. I have placed the order Feb 25, it says shipped on the order but no tracking number. My friends have mixed experiences with them too. Good orders and bad orders too. Also, where did my last post go?

Well I ordered a Hope Hookah from these guys. At first everything seemed to be going smoothly. I ordered it late night on Friday, the order got processed on Monday, and it shipped Tuesday. Not the fastest, but not too bad for a small business.

The package arrived today, and the hookah appears to be more used than new. The grommet for the base is too big. And the one flavor of shisha they sent me was something I didn't even choose (although this part is not too big of a deal since it was free).

UNREAL................ I ordered from them last week and send many emails to them and still no reply , I just want my tracking number .

I should read the bad reviews here they have poor service ,I dont know if they shipped my items or not or i will receive it damaged or missed like the others.

I just got two Tangiers bowls in and had no problems on their end.My complaint is with the post office they sent my package to Vegas first then to Rochester, NY and to me.I think USPS should give me frequent flyer miles for waiting .Everything came in perfectly they even packed the bowls in an empty Nakhla bucket.

Update on my last post, I placed the order on Feb 25 and after basically harassing Mark and their phone number for a while for the tracking number since it was marked shipped, I received the tracking number. The package was sent out on March 7th. I do not care if he says that he is out of stock and I have to wait longer but it the fact that the order is marked shipped and it is not shipped for another 9-10 days.

*I ordered on March 01, 2013.
*I had to send them a copy of the front of my CC before they would process it.
*It was processed on the 3rd of March.

Then on March 16th I get an email from LETTI JAY saying:

"I send this email to inform you on your order you placed with us at hookahset.com Unfortunately at the moment we are out of stock of Fumari 100g Blueberry Muffin and Ambrosia , Mizo Peach 250g would you like to switch it over for a different flavor so we can send out your order ?"

I was upset upon reading because it was over 2 weeks since I ordered it expecting to be receiving it! I was thinking of cancelling right there (big mistake) but I told them by email the next day to replace the out of stock items with something else. Why did they wait 2 weeks to tell me something was out of stock?

I call them on the 18th monday to confirm my order and replacement. I speak to Letti and she says she'll send it out "today" and i'll get a tracking number. I call the next day tuesday and hear the same thing...never a tracking number. Wednesday and Thursday come and nothing...now it's Friday the 22. I want to know if they shipped it or not....I need my shisha after 3 weeks!!!

I call and speak to Mark he says there was a problem that was 'out of their hands' and I'm curious to know if it IS in the hands! I ask him it is shipped or not...he says yes.....I ask when....he says yesterday. (that would be the 21st)

Then I start searching online to see if this hookahset site is a scam or what! Then I find this: http://www.scamdex.com/ScamTipReports/778 that was posted in 2011. Upon reading I redial to speak to Mark..but he doesn't answer. So, I call that number on that site and talk to Danny of "Prime Hookah". I ask about the connection to HookahSet.com and he says they speak to each other but don't do business as they are a separate entity. Whatever, i don't really care...I'm just trying to see if this thing is a scam or not. He tries to assure me that Mark is a good guy and will make it right. I simply tell this Danny that i don't know what is going on and why his number is listed as the scam reference for HookahSet.

A few minutes later I get an email from Mark and says sorry about the delay and tells me the item was shipped and I was given this reference

To me this is just online postage that doesn't mean anything. Will see if it actually updates to "received by post office".

Bottom line.....I should have not been PULLED IN by the bait of low price shisha....I already paid the price in mental energy and time wasted....If i just ordered from that OTHER famous hookah vendor, which I did in the past for international delivery it went very well and good delivery time (and with an actually great live online chat service) I would have paid MORE but not had this experience.

Time will tell ....but from looking at this thread I can pretty much be assured that I'll either NEVER get it or have missing or wrong items (and i'm very particular in my shisha). I'm hopping I'll get it and that this was just an isolated case.

But, I'll just go ahead and order again from another vendor and assume I'll not get this having lost my money. IF i do get the package then I'll be surprised and update this thread saying the order came.....time will tell. It's already been 3 weeks and supposedly they just shipped it yesterday?

This just getting out of hand and not a pleasant experience, in fact it's one of the most difficult of all internet purchases I have had....and I've been buying online since it all started in the late 1990's! I've been a powerseller on eBay (+1000 transactions) and have run internet websites before involving shipping of goods...this is highly irregular.

Yikes. Placed my order 4/28, my card was charged on 5/1, and I was given tracking information through ups they said, but it was really a FEDEX package. I thought hey, no big deal, tomay-to, tomah-to, and then on 5/6 I get my package! I'm so stoked because I bought 3kg worth of coals, 1kg worth of shisha (a little tangiers ) and a Mya Mozza II hookah all for $120! YES! So I rush up to my room, open the box, it's all there! YES! And then I open the tin canister that the Mozza is in and oh...my...god.... that's broken pieces of glass. Yep, some glass fell out. The base is destroyed!! So I email Mark, hey, dude this is messed up. And then after TWO! TWO! days, (5/8 at this point) he replies, "send me a picture", okay. I have sent him a picture as of an hour after receiving his email YESTERDAY and no reply via email today (5/9). We'll see what tomorrow brings.

Worst venor ever they don't reply to emails , they don't answer phone calls; sent me a product that is not what I ordered, and shipment took 3 days longer than what they promised. Also, they said they are gonna use ups and they used USPS.

My advice, stay away from hookahset, they don't deserve your business.

1/10 and I am being generous
