Default bowl packing for flavor

Looking for tips in regards to packing the bowl for getting superb flavor. I have a rotating hookah probably about 36" tall that I got for free. All I have right now is hookah-hookah shisha with some starbuzz in the mail. I use one coal since the bowl is rather small, I pack it in fairly dense rather than fluffing it in there and its well below the rim. I use double tin foil and do 3 rings of holes. outer with about 10 middle with 6-8 and inner with about 5 and then one in the center. I'm using a thumb tack to make the holes. I have no issues with the thickness of the clouds just not getting too much flavor. I'm still playing around with my setup but I wanted input from other points of view. Also the tobacco is pretty wet for the most part, once and a while I will get one that is kind of dry.

happy smoking!

pack method is rarely an issue with getting flavor. If you lack flavor it may just be the tobacco you are smoking. Starbuzz might help you out more cause hookah hookah is known for lacking flavors in the long run. HH does give a good punch in the beginning (normally) but it will die out rather quickly compared to other brands.

If its a disc coal, split it in two and put it on each side of the bowl. And make sure theres plenty of the juice in the bowl too

Okay I will try splitting the coals in half later tonight but it does have an initial flavor that is decent but doesn't last the entire bowl by any means. thanks for the tips

Buy tangiers with a phunnel bowl, dense pack use toothpick to poke all the way down into the shisha, massive clouds, awesome flavor. It's probably the shisha youre using, starbuzz and hookah hookah don't really have great flavor that I have noticed so that might be why you aren't getting flavor

I started out with hh because they had catchy flavors and I had only smoked jewels and some starbuzz ready cups before that. I then switched to starbuzz because the cigar shop I worked at carried it. However once I tried flavors from nak, af and tangiers I realized I was missing out on tons of flavor. It might just be that the tobacco you are smoking has less flavor. Try a 50g of any nak mizo flavor and compare to what you smoke now. You will see the difference. Also, once you try a natural coal you probably won't go back to quick lights. I never really tasted the ql until I tried to go back to them for ease of use and it was awful. Try things out and experiment, you'll h glad you did and it will open up a whole new.world.

Starbuzz has awesome lasting flavour. A full disc on a smallish bowl will kill the flavour pretty quickly. Splitting the coal and blowing off ash every so often will help keep the flavour going.

so should I start with half a coal and then add the other half or do half on one side of the bowl and the other half on the other side?

Use bothe halfs seperated, you need the heat to keep the flavour going. Too hot will make it harsh so keep moving the coal around and remember to get rid of the ash once in a while
