I second this, I've read the hook an air suppresor/compressor up to it but most of us don't have that.

I do have an air mattress air pump, is that worth a shot?

You cant wash them, the only cleaning method is blowing, so its either that or your going to have to buy a washable hose.

you can let it sit for three days, then smack the crap out of it (hold both ends and hit it against a wall), then blow out.

You have two choices:
1. just do the washable mod by replacing the hose with the clear hose (just do a search if you have no idea what I am talking about, and yes it works I did it myself)

or

2. wash it every once in a while than take hose outside and do what I like to call "the helicopter" by grasping one end and swinging the hose around over your head for a few minutes. The centrifugal force will get most all of the water out. Your hose will still rust but it will take 6 months or better to get in bad shape. At that point see the above referenced mod to make a new hose!

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I recently smoked AF Cappuccino (NEVER AGAIN!) through my KM rainbow hose and its still ghosted bad after 10 sessions, a few of them being straight mint.

I'm wondering if its possible to combine two of these methods into one...

1) wash it like a washable hose
2) helicopter most of the water out
3) hook up an air mattress pump for 10 minutes or so blowing through the hose

would that remove enough moisture to not cause it to rust?

I'm eventually just going to get a washable hose but I can't justify paying ~$15 shipping for a ~$15 hose...

no. DO NOT do that. the only way to clean them is with air. so anything that will blow a ton of air through a hose really fast will work

I definitely recommend just buying a washable hose at 5starhookah they have the nuhose for 4 bucks and ive heard nothin but good things about it, im about to order myself one, but with the mya hose i used air to clean it back when i had it and i still always felt like stuff was still coming through the hose its gonna be hard to fully clean it, it gets dirty fairly quick.

I've tried two different things so far, and although it helped slightly it still tastes pretty bad like coffee.

1) Hooked up a shop-vac to the hose and sucked through it for ~10 minutes.

2) Hooked up an air mattress pump to blow air through for ~10 minutes.

Perhaps they aren't blowing fast enough or I didn't do it long enough? I'll try using an air compressor soon and see if that helps.

On a side note, damn AF cappuccino to hell! The shisha itself smells incredible but the smoke tastes like shitty coffee and it leaves a shitty coffee taste in the hose...at least I got it out of the hookah and volcanoing it (baking soda + vinegar) a few times.

EDIT - the nuhose still doesn't avoid the issue of paying ~15 shipping for a now $4 hose. I guess I'll suck it up and put a larger order together to make it cost effective.

where are you ordering that has $15 shipping? hookahset is $5 flat rate with a free shipping promo over $50 (me and my buddy just ordered 1.55 kilos of shisha and a brass hookah for like $55 shipped
