Default coals migrating to center of phunnel bowl

I've been having a problem with my natural coals on a phunnel bowl pulling to the center and staying there. I'm going to go ahead and assume my foil isn't tight enough. I can get it tight to the point where the foil doesn't sag and clog the phunnel hole at least, but apparently it's still not tight enough as it sags enough for this issue. When I pull through the hose I can see the bowl vibrate and the coals "bounce" closer and closer to the center. This is a real pain in the ass when I put the windcover on and realize 10 minutes later I'm getting little smoke and the coals are just chillin in the center. Any suggestions on preventing this or wrapping the foil tighter?
Thanks a lot!

I have the same problem, in my opinion its not the foil, it is the vibration when you take pulls, a diffuser would help as well as not having the hookah on carpet or even worse, on a rug that's on carpet. Maybe play with the amount of holes in the foil as well.

The same thing would happen to me. Put the foil real tight then just wrap tape around the neck of the bowl a few times. And for the vibrating try sitting your hookah on a hand towel.

Using HD foil can help. A diffuser is the most effective solution.

Yep I call it foil rattle. Make sure you use HD foil that is stretched tighht. Using a diffuser will greatly reduce the rattle.

I agree with kal and Dunkel. The other thing I will suggest is once u have wrapped the foil and pulled it tight take your thumb and trace the rim of the bowl. This helps it stick to the rim and keeps it from sagging. Hope that helps.

If the foil sagging is an issue you can use some of the juice from the tobacco to seal the foil to the bowl as you would an oil filter in your car.

I have coals moving in and sometimes off of the bowl. Even when I do everything to plaster the foil down. I'd say do what "Peter Griffin" said and put the hookah vase on something that will reduce vibration. I plan to try that myself, as putting packing peanuts under my Egyptian hookah's ash tray stopped it from rattling.

Thanks for the tips, I realized I was sitting my hookah on an extra layer of carpet on top of carpet. Can't really do much about that aspect, but its good to know what's causing it. I am using HD foil but didn't think about the diffuser. I whipped up a ping-pong ball diffuser and it's making a huge difference! Thanks a lot for the advice.
