Al fakher for me after I've been smoking hookah for a few years or overall mediocre as far as flavor goes. Don't get me wrong some I really like but I'm not a huge al fakher fan. Very heat sensitive, flavors are too candy like and sometimes very strong.

It's always been the same to me.
I like it but it's nothing special, more my common smoke. When I want something better then I bring out the good stuff.

hey kelsey... yeah, i know what you mean...
it's just... well, i'm into bodybuilding, and i'm trying to get less nicotine as possible...
since af=0.05%nico... ;/
used to taste very sweet and mint to me... but i can barely taste it now... even considering stopping smoking... since it tasted the best for me...
also, here in brazil it's kinda hard to get premium shisha.

hey
AcTiOnJaCkSoN,
do think i could do something to improve the taste? i'm preparing it in a vortex sahara, not overpacking, neither using too little shisha... mizo's did pretty good on the same prep.
poking 3 rings with a pushpin.

When I upgraded from a standard Egyptian to a vortex and it brought out the flavour a lot more for me, for Al Fakher at least.
And that's good you're trying to keep the nicotine content low. I smoke about once a week myself.

Doubt it, the brand is pretty consistent as far as production goes minus their grape and kiwi flavors. They've changed very little over the years except for the ridiculous new arena line.

Some flavours have gone down hill like bubble gum and strawberry they still have some nice flavours, especially in the gold line but i dont think its what it used to be which is a shame. Btw has anyone tried any arena and if so how is it good flavour easier to heat manage etc

I have noticed the same lately. Actually, in my experience the flavors are very nice and strong right after I open the package, but then after a few days both smell and taste becomes very weak.

I always store my tobacco in 100% air tight containers. Maybe that's the problem? Maybe AF needs to breathe these days? I'm doing an experiment right now.. I've taken tobacco from the same package and split into one completely air tight container and one that is "almost" completely air tight.

If you want good low-nicotine mint flavors try:

Tangiers Lucid Cane Mint
Social Smoke Absolute Zero
Social Smoke Mojito
Social Smoke Cinnamint

Al Fakher tends to be either good or horrible ... it seems that they have batch inconsistency issues ...
