Smoking with Peroxide in base?

This thread makes me want to fabricate a Battery Operated Electrolyzing Hookah. Just put a cathode and an anode into the base. Surround the cathode with a tube so that the electrolyzed hydrogen gas can be ported out of the base. Allow the oxygen to collect in the base, mix with the smoke, and be drawn through the hose. Hook up the battery, light the bowl, and you're good to go.

2 small issues there,

you're reducing your water level when making the 2 gases,
and the 2 gases like to go boom and make that hot fire stuff

I've got a degree in nat. sci. and excelled at chemistry, so I can with great accuracy and no ignorance tell you this statement: "For the heavy smoker it dissolved a lot of the cigarette tar that hadbuilt up in the lungs". Is entirely, utterly and deceptively untrue.

Here is a grade school chemistry experiment for you. Get some tar, put H2O2 on it and see how much tar dissolves. And yes, the tar residue from burning tobacco is the same as the tar on a roof, or a road, or grandpa's ancient wood boat.....tar is tar.

3% concentration is safe for the average person to handle, but in higher concentrations it is a very powerful oxidizer (commonly used in solid fuel rocket engines), and at higher concentrations is very dangerous to handle, and you most certainly would not want to ingest or inhale it, hell I don't even like being near anything over a 15% concentration without a respirator.

I embrace holistic and homeopathic health practices, but when I see things like the H2O2 hype, Colloidal Silver, Bovine Albumin, Acidulated Water, Caustic Water.......I do careful research, and only take the scholarly publications and submissions into account. I fuck my lungs up enough with cigars, hookah, and now dokha (LOVE DOKHA!!!!).

Do some more research and be safe, in this and anything else.

Ha ha photolinger....isn't it amazing the health claims that come out daily? My wife watches the Dr. Oz show and has me watch segments almost daily (dang TiVo). Every day, without fail, he is stumping for this miracle supplement or that new found phenomena from the bumshitnowhere rain forest south side of the second mountain in the upper Amazon lower river basin where this bush only grows 1/4 inch every thousand years...........and here it is today for you!!!! Well, who knows? That miracle supplement may be the next greatest thing, but we gotta be cautious and research...

Hell, a couple weeks ago he was talking about the MIRACLE of taking Green Coffee Extract.

Extract? How is it an extract? GCE, the latest miracle supplement, is nothing more than green coffee beans, ground fine and encapsulated in 200 or 400mg doses....big deal....that isn't an extract....it is ground green coffee. A cup of espresso is an extract....these guys need to use the correct nomenclature so they don't confuse the public (a.k.a. target consumer....or sucker)

Shows like Dr. Oz and The Doctors will spout about anything once if they are paid enough. There are disclaimers at the end of their shows or on their websites stating that it was a paid advert and that the products have not been proven to blah blah blah.

The other thing that really irks me is the presumption that if something is "Natural" or "Organic", then it must be good for you. How could it possibly be harmful if it's "natural and organic"? Well this forum doesn't begin to allow me the room to make a list of all the natural, organic sources of poisons and toxins, but suffice it to say, it's vast.

I'm with you on this.

Organic is often misused to mean something that is grown without the use of lab made, chemical fertilizers or pesticides. It really only means that it is made by or associated with an organism. Rattlesnake venom is organic right alongside coniine, the most active neurotoxin in the hemlock family of plants. Bear in mind, I am a big fan of natural farming when possible, but people need to understand that just because something is "natural" does not mean it's safe for consumption. The dung used to fertilize plants is all natural and truly organic in all senses of the word. It's still not a good idea to eat feces.

Hell, our own bodies produce an organic acid that includes hydrochloric acid.

Wait... What of we find a way to finely grind Starbuzz and powdered froyo and put it into 200-550mg capsules as well? We could find some doctor to say they did a intense study and say it enhances the hookah experience. We can call it FroyoBuzz extract. We can market it towards the hipsters that have Ed Hardy, and pink skull hookahs. We could make millions.
