Default New from Alabama

Hey guys. I'm Nathan, call me Nate. Just bought my first two hookahs about a month ago. Found this site after watching a few of Sambooka's videos on youtube. Looking forward to getting to know the community and make some great friends here.

The Tinder Box in the Bel Air mall actually has a decent selection of shisha or at least I'd consider it decent for Mobile, Alabama. I know they sell Starbuzz and Al Waha, but they have a couple other brands too.

I don't recall seeing any, but I'm a hookah n00b. They might've had small (50g) boxes of Fantasia. I remember seeing small black shisha boxes. I just remembered today that a friend bought a Mya Mono hookah and some Nakhla (cherry and guava, may have been Mizo, but not sure) at the Food Pak on Old Shell Road. It's a small middle eastern store near the university. You could call them and see.

I went to the Food Pak on the way home from work and picked up a 250g box of Nakhla Mizo Watermelon. The selection there is really small. He only has a few flavors of Nakhla (I saw double apple, guava, cherry, grape, mixed fruit, and watermelon). I did see a small 250g tub of Al Amir grape. The Nakhla's priced at $11 and the Al Amir was $13. They had some quick light coals, but that was it.

I know what you mean. The closest and cheapest place I can get any quality Scotch is Maisano's in OS.

I'm mostly a fan of Islay Scotches. I picked up some Ardbeg 10 and Laphroaig 18 from them a few months back. I can't remember the prices, but the state run liquor stores here in AL don't even carry these.

All liquor stores in AL that aren't state run, still have to buy from the state store so their selection is limited to what the state has. I want to say the Laphroaig 18 was ~$65 whereas in Mobile, the Laphroaig 10 would go for $55+ in a private store. The 18 would likely be $90+ if anybody in AL could get it in stock. The Ardbeg 10 was ~$48.

Maisano's had a pretty decent selection of others (several expressions of Talisker, The Mccallen, Glenlivet, Glennfidich, Lagavulin, etc....). If you know of any better, cheaper liquor stores in OS, by all means lemme know.

Decent selection of Nakhla, AF and some Al Amir. Coconaras, and sizable selection of hookah (egyptians, maybe an MZ idk) also some English style biscuits mmmmmmm.
