Default Tangiers is coming out with a washed line?

I dunno if any of you have heard (which you probably have since it is kinda old but I haven't seen it get posted here) , but Tangiers is FINALLY coming out with WASHED line

I'm really stoked about this since I've always wanted to smoke Tangiers because I can never get the normal line to smoke (its really tricky...well at least for me)

Set back is, is that it still needs acclimating...but if the washed line is able to be packed like regular tobaccos like AF and AW, that is a MAJOR plus!

What do you guys and gals think?

I hope Tangiers washed line picks Orange soda as one of the washed flavs! :]

Hopefully the washed line won't be too much of a hassle and that it is easy to smoke like all the other tobaccos out there

Haha cuz sometimes, it smells like BBQ, its most likely cuz it isn't done acclimating. Eek, but even if I acclimate it for 24 hours, it still smells like it

BBQ means it's a bad batch. I have a bad Batch of Tangiers, my first one ever, and it is exactly like BBQ sauce.

Wowzers that explains a lot! I had trouble with Orange Soda and I could never get it to work. Before and while acclimating, it smelt like Orange soda. But before I packed the bowl...pleh BBQ smell. (I did acclimate 24 hours)

And if it didn't smell like BBQ, it would be very faint.

I seriously can't wait for this one! Man, I only got orange soda to work twice and those times were heavenly. Until the headache kicked my ass.

BBQ comes from the fact it's SO different, plus the way it's made.... it does impart some weird taste/smell. BUT in defence of Tanigers, WHEN I smoked several flavors (Vanilla, Juciy Pear, Kiwi) they were flavorful but strong! KP smelt wonderful, but reuined me to Tangiers (made me sick) and now I can't even stand the smell of the stuff.

It's good, but strong and picky. You need a phunnel to fully enjoy it - IMO, I shouldn't have to need speical bowls or techniques to smoke a single brand of tobacco.

But... never dis untill you've tried it. You might like it, you might hate it.

Personally I think its just a marketing ploy..... yet another product he will have to explain in great detail how to get it to smoke well or taste good. Sparking yet another line of bowls and and aftermarket accessories to make the bowl work right.

Tangiers really only has a cult following.... few can smoke it and enjoy it while the rest complain about it.

One of two things is gonna happen, he is going to launchjanother poor product line....or he has finally figured out how to make shisha and is gonna sell it.

Stuff like this happens when your mom tells you that you are good at something.

Well it's like Tumbac. There's no way i could smoke that, putting a coal directly on the tobacco and going at it, or even with a screen or foil i couldn't do it.

But Hajo smokes it regularly, how i do not know, but he does. . It's top notch for him, for me, if I could smoke it, i may love it, yet i can't.

It's the same with Tangiers. In no way is his tobacco of lesser quality to any other. It's just on a different level. If you can take the slight tobacco taste, the experimenting and practicing it takes to get it working, and maybe a lsight tingle here or there, and the major buzz factor, then you love it.

Personally, i think this is the greatest accomplishment in Hookah Tobacco. I can get a bowl of Tangiers to smoke perfectly, but there is NO WAY i can handle the buzz even a tiny bit. The flavor is the best and most realistic you can possibly have, if you havn't smoked a good batch or bowl then there's no way to know that.

I wouldn't call it a "Cult" following, because alot of people actually smoke it, just not here.

So the best flavor possible in tobacco + a much lighter buzz = Great Tobacco. This Tangiers line is going to be good, but it also isn't going to be as popular simply because you most likely will need ot work on getting it smoking properly. It will smoek harsh alot, and you will get bad batches (because it is very temperamental to Humidity and Temperature), but if you acclimate it correctly and load it correctly, it will be truly amazing.

Just needed to point out the root of the problem here..... Why would anyone call a tobacco good...when they have to constantly dodge bad batches?

I see you subscribe to Tangiers "Humidity Shock" theory.

Its rubbish. IMO...simply another way to explain away why his product is poor.

Glycerin is a Humectant. Google and learn the truth about humidity and glycerin.

I have gotten one bad batch of Tangiers. The rest were purely amazing. Orange Soda, Horchata, K. Peach.. Delicious. The bad batch was shipped all around and changed hands quite a bit, and the outer wrapping was opened.

It is good tobacco, there's nothing like Tangiers flavor. If Af had it, or even SB, i would only buy that. But no flavor can compare to the authenticity of Tangiers.

That whole nicotine content thing is made up. 0.5% by what? weight? Determined using what method?

Anyway, I hope that Eric does not use blackstrap molasses... maybe just regular (first) molasses?

Or maybe a honey tangiers' line? With the same cut though?

I think it would be really good
