Default Project One Alpha

So my glass hookah from canada arrived today- beautiful piece of functional art.

I only have one picture so far, may post more later, along with initial impressions once I smoke it.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/fzkggyx65a...2021.44.31.jpg

Apologies for the crappy quality, my lighting and camera are both rather shoddy.

EDIT: Sooooo the bowl that comes with it isn't all that great, doesn't hold as much as I would like. Smokes alright. The draw is so smooth, I can barely tell I'm getting the smoke until I taste it and see it. Going to try my clay bowl as soon as this bowl is done.

http://projectonehookahs.com/ $225 so it's definitely pricey but I'm sure performs like a champ and it looks awesome.

I actually pre-ordered mine, so I paid 160 before shipping. They even threw in both stems for me, the regular and the mini, because they shipped late. All in all I paid just over 200. So far it seems like a really good deal. Last night I broke it down and threw it in a couple bags, took it to a little backyard kickback on my motorcycle. Once I set it up, I realized I didn't have a way to light my coals, so I threw some bits from the fire on there. Worked surprisingly well, and the hookah was a huge hit all around.

God, I read "broke it" and freaked out. Ya I paid around $200 pre-ordering because I got the mini stem so I could convert it, and they sent enough extras to do two-hose style due to the wait.

Odd, They just sent me both stems and a single hose. I could set up dual hose anyway though, since my nammor fits right into the slot without a grommet.

I'd imagine because I paid for both stems they compensated by giving the two-hose gear.

well, 225 is a little bit over the top for me. Those hookah cost around 40USD wholesale. 90 retail (in China). Around 200in USD.

This is just a simple photo from my bar:

This is not the advertisement, so tho my bar is in the middle of nowhere in Asia :-)
Not forcing anyone to anything. But when we choose between "these two", we choose "temple".

that thing really is a nice looking pipe! I like the fact that it still maintains a classic look being a glass hookah

I actually broke the downstem already. Embarrassing... I emailed Stephen about it and he's going to send me a new one on Monday.

Pros:

Incredibly easy to clean and set up, easy to transport
Smokes really smoothly, hardly any shaking and a nice open draw
Looks great
Swappable min and regular mid-stems

Cons:
Glass breaks and stuff.
Purge is a bit weak, takes a while to empty the whole base
Difficult to put ice in, if desired
The glass phunnel it comes with also sucks

Smoke output:
With the built-in diffuser in the downstem, it's a really smooth draw, and with proper heat management it makes it really easy to get decent sized clouds without trying too hard. The hose it comes with is also pretty good, the silicone can be a bit floppy, but the glass mouthpiece is comfy and looks good.

I posted it with a Hookahpro title screen but apparently it was deleted for some reason, so whatever.

Do you prefer the mini stem, or were you just using it to fit the pipe in the shot?

I prefer the mini simply because it's easier to smoke with the pipe on my desk.

Will crushed ice fit? Try wrapping a few ice cubes in a towel and bashing 'em a few times

(Caveat: l don't know anything about glass hookahs, but you might want to check with the manufacturer about thermal shock- heat from one end and cold from the other could be dangerous. Kalutika or Jonesies might be able to help you out here).
