Default Starbuzz Charcoal???

Has anyone here tried it? If so how was it compared to Three Kings or Golden Coals? I'm REALLY interested in buying the package deal with 3 tubs of Starbuzz shisha and box of coals from pimpyourhookah.com, but the only thing stopping me are the Starbuzz coals, since I haven't read or heard anything on them...I'd much rather get the same package but with Golden Coals instead...

I wondered the same thing. I haven't heard anyone mention using them and haven't read a review about them either. I use Exotica Square Finger Coals most of the time now. They are a real good deal.

im not 100% positive but im mostly sure that we have used starbuzz charcoal at billy's place. it works very well and no added flavor like most other naturals. i havent timed how long they last or the lighting process as a heating plate is used but they are good coals. ask billy for a more in depth review on them.

eehhh, I didn't know that they were naturals, I thought they were quicklights...I can't use naturals, I rarely get to smoke at home (parents don't know). I'm almost always smoking outdoors and constantly moving all my stuff, quicklights are pretty much the only coals I can use...oh well, I quess I'll have to wait and see if there will ever be a pakcage deal that includes quicklights at PYH

the AF package i believe involves the 3k coals. also call him up or send him an e-mail and see if he can switch the coals. i should ask him to have different options available on the coals.

I have used the Starbuzz coals, got a box w/ my order from PYH. Large lump natural type coals, some very large pieces, some med, some small. Alot of dust.... BUT, nice natural coals.

Ashes white, good heat, no shattering (unlike Lemonwoods), although it is somewhat hard to find a good sized piece, but it breaks well.

One chunk I have is larger than my fist - i keep it to show people and get a good laugh.

I used them next to the Di fingers - both works equaly well, the ashing on the SB coals was better, but both decent coals.

my local gas station has these I have resorted to these a few times I keep a tube around in a time of need. There QL so lighting them is very fast. Heats good. I have had a little taste from them a few times, they ash crappy its a dusty ash. They are very fast burning.

so
pros-- Fast lighting
very little taste
good Heat

cons- burn to fast
dusty ash
the little taste
and the scent while lighting them

not bad for a QL

I've used the Hypnosis natural coals. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that is starbuzz's other brand name, right? Anway, I've used them afew times. Basically just a quick pick me up if I'm running low before one of my usuall big orders. They're not my favorite, but for $10 a box it did the trick for a week or so. I think exoticas are better but the smoke shop down my street pretty much had these and QL's. They last an average amount of time, but I don;t like the way they ash, and I seem to get an odor from them. But like I said they're not my go to brand, but sufficed as a quick substitute.

I've only used them once and I personally didn't care for them at all.. I don't like the way they ash, and they have a weird smell to them.

Tried it, its all right. But if you're going to go expensive just get some Fumari's Coal.

ive used them a lot of times and never had dusty ash. i like the ash on them. it all comes off in one piece. i think they light too quick in that i mean its almost violent. and they are a bit too hot. my favorite qls are holland but starbuzz are definitely up there.
