Default Air leak where stem connects to base -_-

I finally fixed the air leak in my purge valve, and now I'm noticing a leak where the stem screws onto the base. When I blow lightly through the hose, I notice smoke come out the purge and a lot comes out the top of the base. I think it's called the stem...if this isn't right then for lack of a better description it's where the blue base meets the silver aluminum. Maybe I have the rubber ring on wrong, I put up two pics of my hookah and how I have the ring set up now. I'm trying to figure out how to fix this, temporarily or permanently. I was thinking a thick rubber band where the two meet would probably do it, but I don't have one around with a decent thickness and diameter. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

try one of these http://www.hookahcompany.com/mya_exp..._2375_prd1.htm but it probably wont work becuase you have a screw on

it is most likely an O ring because yours is screw on http://www.hookahcompany.com/hookah_gaskets_25_ctg.htm

I tried snapping a pic off while smoke was pouring out this leak, I also circled the problem area.
I'm assuming if smoke comes out, then air is coming in that leak as well

Then you need a tighter seal try moving around the O-ring.

Take your base and go to your closest home depot hardware store and buy an O-ring that fits aound the bottom of the threaded area so that it can rest on the shoulder of the threaded area where your stem would meet the base or look inside the stem and see if there is an O-ring lurking there where the top of the base meets the stem that should solve your leak problem

Thanks to those who replied, turns out the O-ring was in fact the culprit. It came with one but even when I had it on right it didn't make a seal. A thicker one from home depot did the trick, now my hookah is hitting like a champ finally
