If you pass through Houston, go check out Texas hookah. He is off of the 610 loop on the south side of the city. I make sure and stop every time I go through there. He stocks some stuff he doesn't put on his site, so some of the harder to find tang flavors are normally III n the store. And just mention you are part of hookah pro and you still get his 10% discount even in the store.

I just looked at the map and 35 doesn't go anywhere close to Houston. I have heard there are a couple of good shops in Austin but never gone. Hookah-shisha is based in Austin but they don't have a store front. Just online based. Social smoke is based in Dallas / Fort Worth area. If That's not too far out of your way,.that could be a nice stop.

There is the Smokin Dragon of Everman parkway. You have to cross over 35 and slightly backtrack.. The main reason I go there is they carry AF.. comes to like 5.36 for a 50G pack.

Said store ISN'T a vendor.. closest Vendor to me is Social Smoke, but they have no Retail location as of yet..

Social smoke is right off of I 30 and George bush. They are only open Monday-Thursday though.

Bless your soul driving that far.

I don't want to take anything away from my state, but Texas has a terrible tobacco tax. Prices are almost double from what they are online.

Thanks all. I'm not driving for fun my FIL has a brain tumour and will be checking out in the near future. I'm not really what time or day I'm driving back through. On my way down it was around 7 pm on a Sunday so everything was closed.

Like others have said, the only vendor in TX close to 35 is Hookah-Shisha.

Unless you took I-45 from Dallas to Houston and went through Victoria to get to Corpus, I would say you are out of luck. It's only ~45min longer of a drive, but the Houston traffic is definitely worse than San Antonio traffic.

I would go through Houston and stop at Texas Hookah personally, but expect prices on shisha to be high, since the ~$40/kilo Texas tobacco tax is killer. The average Tangiers price there is $22/250g and they no longer have Tangiers bowls in stock (but they will tell you that [banned products] are Tangiers bowls and try to sell those to you).

Yes, the tobacco tax in Texas is VERY HIGH. The only place In Austin that gives a break on the tax is a middle eastern market. But they still charge $5.50 for a 50g box of al fakher.
