you should try Saidy Dandash if you like old Nakhla. Most of their flavours taste identical to Nak Mizo. I'm pretty sure they use the same flavourings

Very curious, I must have all of it. They also must produce irm for me alone.

Hello,

I've been smoking Mazaya for the past 6 Years+

I only smoke Lemon Mint and theirs is the best out there. Their Double apple is lighter than AF and a little stronger on the taste. you should check out their Gum and Lemon Mint, they also make the best tasting strawberry on the market.

Good stuff

Dreadful stuff. But if you like it, more power to you. But honestly AF, Fumari and social smoke all do a far better lemon mint flavor.

I will never ever understand the nakhla hype. It just tastes cheaper and dirtier than af. Ive smoked kilos of the stuff and it just does not taste as pronounced or as smooth as AF.

As for Mazaya, its decent enough. Good alternative to af

Yikes.

First, Nakhla is THE moassel progenitor. Theres a reason its been around since 1913. AF is satisfactory, but its certainly not the benchmark, and Mazaya is just another “ french Tobacco” mess.

But as always , a good one is the one you like.

The Japs's kinda messed up a good thing in Nak. Now, just a handful are good but the price has gone up 60% making it more costly then AF. Sadly I resort to a handful of Af flavours for the everyday puff. I tried Mazaya, they do have some decent blends however they sacrificed flavour for smoke volume, perhaps their Honey/ PG/VG syrup mixture diluted the flavourings a bit too much. On weekends, I pull out the good stuff from USA, then the all is well.

other options :
adding complementing flavouring oils to zag/soft black?
Perhaps going/having an "old school " approach would be more satisfying.
that being, grow your own supply, if you can rig a growhouse / green house set up.
The Buzzier side of Medwakh pipes & Dokha?

I get that. But just cos its been around since 1913 doesnt mean its the best.

I just do not understand the nakhla hype im sorry. Maybe the uk nak is different. But it tastes dirty and cheap. Barely any flavour. Ive smoked kilos of the stuff. Nak DA is nice to be fair. But i just find AF has a stronger fruitier taste.

We could not disagree more.

AF is just meh, a few standout flavors. Its main appeal is its mass availabilty. Nakhla on the other hand does quite a number of flavors well.

No surprise that i favor Nakhla. i started smoking hookah a decade before AF hit the market. It was just Nak in the late 80’s until AW hit the scene in the early 90’s. AF wasnt out till 99 and Tangiers not till 2001 or so. I cut my teeth on Nak and though ive added other brands to the cellar, nakhla remain my go to brand.

It comes down to personal taste. Smoke what you like. Like what you smoke.

I agree with every word.
My first good hookah experience has happened in Egypt on the Red Sea vacation. Later egyptian shishagi was start packed bowls with Cleopatra/Salloum Flavor, El Hennawy, Prince or something like in shishacorners, but I was ever can say - It's not Nakhla.
Sadly now Nakhla the quite other product.
