Depends what type of hose you have and if it is washable with you. I rinse mine with lemon juice, baking soda, and some hot water.

Than you don't wash them. If they are non washable and you wash them they will rust and you will be inhaling rust.

use the hose attachment on a vacuum- stick the male end of a plastic kitchen funnel into the vacuum hose, then stick the mouthpiece or end piece of your hookah hose into the funnel, and the tapered shape of the funnel should create a seal, no matter what the diameter of your hookah hose is. this is the best way to remove debris from non washable hoses

If its a non washable hose use that hose for whatever the lingering taste is. If its washable then baking soda and lemon works wonders for cleaning out ghosted flavors.

You can buy rubber pipes now, i have a thick rubber one which i got handmade from a craftsman in Pakistan, it works brilliant and washes out so easily. In normal pipes when you wash them the water just sits and doesn't fall out easily, on mine you just turn it and out she goes, every single drop.

Its like one of those gas pipes on your cooker but with a cover over it.

I have two of these a normal 4 foot one and a long 8 foot one for when we have shisha parties, as usually people will just pull the pipe and drop the shisha.

Well it first depends if you have a washable hose, and if that is the case i recommend washing it at least once a week with warm water and lemon juice, preferably with more lemon juice than water. You can also use baking soda to get out those stubborn flavors. The method i use to clean it is first put your cleaning solution into the hose, then put both ends facing the sky then put one arm up and one arm down and vis versa for several minutes, and after that drain out the liquids and run warm water through the hose for a couple minutes. After that hang the hose upside down over night to get it completely dry. Then your golden! Happy hookah smoking.

Throw them out immediately and get yourself some new hoses. They are rusted by now.

^ Same here also have nogoom coming in.

I wash my non washables then give it two minutes with my good old friend Datavac duster. :-)

Got this to dust clients computers when I get them for repairs and also use it to dry the hoses :-)

With my Tonic washable hose, I used to fill a cup of water with a little bit of soap and lemon juice, then pour it through.I then realized a more efficient method; my hose fit directly into my sink faucet. It's so much better directly pushing a flow of water through!
