Thumbs up avoiding coals exploding?

since I'm new and don't know much about it
What is up with coals exploding, and how can I avoid it?
I want to invest in a hookah, but I want it to always be as safe as possible
thanks for future reference, happy hookah-ing!

The only time I've had coals "explode" is when I squeeze too hard on the tongs. Just be careful when dealing with coals.

Get good quality natural coals like coconaras they have never broke on me once, plus I have a little pan that I use the carry the coals from my stove to the hookah so I never have to worry about squeezing too hard and breaking them or accidently dropping them.

The only coals I find consistently explode are natural finger coals like nour. If you get coconaras or any other coco coals basically you will be fine.

as they said go with natural light coals that light on stoves. preferably coconara's. I feel like your using the quick light coals, and I often have those explode on me.

Only coals I've ever had explode on me are quick lights, which are terrible and shouldn't be used in the first place. If you stick with good quality natural coals like LeoNaras and coconaras, you shouldn't ever see a coal actually explode unless you squeeze them too tight. They will sometimes split in half, but yo avoid carpet burns you can just use a metal carrier of some sort to transport them from burner to hookah.

ohh and I use a big rectangular metal pan used for cooking to transport my coals. I don't feel the need to be too fancy about it
