I actually was looking on Etsy for awhile and found a couple of antique items. None I really wanted to buy though.
stuff shows up on etsy occasionally, just filter out handmade, unless you want that. the etsy people generally have no idea what tehy have though. you have to be just as careful, if not more so than on ebay. its all about knowing what youre looking for and how to tell gems from crap

And how to do that? 9/10 times if it looks really ornate or looks like it has any occidental influence on the style at all its a dud

I found beautiful vintage 4 foot tall Brass Hookah but they wouldnt ship because they are scared of scammers =( They live in the next state over.

Yeah I only seen like two things but they weren't worth the price they were asking.

the first thing i always look at is the hose port, thats usually a dead give away for a chinese hookah. then i look at how many if any moving parts there are, most quality hookahs dont come apart at all, but some syrians and turks have screw on bowl ports. the rest like being able to tell turks form egys from syrians is kind of an experience thing, same with telling hollow cast from solid cast without holding the pipe

What's that ghost thread? You came back to tell everyone with vintage hookahs to gift them to me?

I don't get why people bring back threads from the Mainframe computer era... Why can't you just let the dead rest?
