Default Nakhla Packing Help

Smoke some nak da a few weeks ago out of my vortex bowl. Not fond of the anise though. Let it air out the past few days. Going to give it another shot.

Any advice on bowls and packing? Last time i used a vortex and sprinkled the nak in

I have an egy and a vortex which is better? Do i have to pack it in rather than sprinkle it?

Let the coals sizzle for 2-3 minutes, then flip them and move them to the untouched part of the foil and repeat. I usually have a windcover on during this process. Once all the foil has been touched, return the coals to thier oroginal place and start smoking...not before

10 minutes is too long, and the water in the base should be colored if using an Egy. Thats normal

By letting it sizzle a little, you're basically searing the top layer of tobacco. This provides a buffer to disperse the heat a little.

You will still taste anise, but as the bowl smokes it should tone down a little. Nakhla has pretty robust flavors
