Default My old pipe, my new pipe and a beast.

I just wanted to post some pictures. I am very excited that one of my uncles gave me a pipe for christmas because he recently learned I was into tobacco and the like. The best part? It's one he carved. It's a model he can't sell because there is a minor crack in the bowl but it's a beauty.

First up is my old small churchwarden. My first pipe. And second is the new beasty. The first is about 8 inches long end to end so that give you and idea of the imposing profile of the new pipe.

The last picture is of an Opus X "churchill". this thing is a beast. Barely fits in my humidor sitting straight. it is more like a presidente than a churchill.

I have some more cigars coming from another friend who had to send money to his friend in the UK to buy them and then they are being shipped to us here in the US. I will let you gather what you will from that.

the pics are from my integrated laptop camera so they are not great quality but I will take some pictures with my good camera soon.

I like the looks of a churchwarden but I bet they'd be a pain to smoke. Pretty pipes though. Opus X in the words of Ted Wasanasong is "super nice!"

Churchwardens are actually my favorite style. They are not as bad as some assume. the bigger ones need to be held at all times or you need some jaw strength. I have no problem with that personally. feels tiny compared to a nammor or razan lol.
