Default HoboHookah - a ripoff?

for those of you that don't know what a hobohookah is, it's a hookah stem, with a built in hose + bowl that attaches to almost any bottle. it's designed for travel, so that you don't break the glass base and you don't have to take the glass every where you go. more details here: http://hobohookah.com/

this thing costs $60 bucks. it's a pretty big amount of money for something this small. but thehookah.com has a similar product called "The Witch" which is practically the same thing for over $40.00 less.

has anyone ever tried these products? anyone know how good these things work?

The hobo hookah has a "grommet" that connects to the base with an airtight seal.....the witch can only fit on one type of bottle and chances are, its not airtight.

Ive just seen the reviews on those products but never used them. They look like they wouldnt be worth the money.

I might buy one just to try it out if I can find one for 20 bucks or so.

There's also an improved hobohookah coming out soon with a purge and the OG one will be probably in the $30 range but made will different materials.

apparently if you know the right mya hose, there is one that can unscrew somewhere on it and screw on to the hobohookah if the one it came with gets junked. and the purge thats going to be built in hopefully works.

truth be told, i'd rather throw a QT in the trunk if i ever needed a small hookah to use if i dont bring a bigger rig.

Good idea in theory, but I don't know... I'd be weary. Find a rich friend to buy and it and try it out with them.

yeah, i'd rather pay $30 (or less) for a mya QT (super strong glass) then pay double for one of these portable-stem-things.
