Default Oldest active hookah

Who has the oldest active hookah setup here, including hoses and bowls, etc. I'm curious of the consistent lasting power of some hookahs and setups but I really haven't seen many hookahs older than about 10 years that smokers consistently use. Does anyone have anything older or just as old that you use on a regular basis?

I read somewhere that a member of HP bought this really old hookah from a lady who got the hookah through her husband or someone and it like came from his father or grandfather. It's a semi recent post and had pictures too. Looked like a really nice hookah.

I gave my friend an Egyptian Rotator that I bought in the beginng of 2003. He's had the hookah for about a year and a half and it's still going strong. 6 years for a hookah is pretty damn good.

It is not uncommon here for lounges and cafe's to keep hookahs for decades. Usually bases don't last that much (being fragile, and accidents sorta happen).... Same applies to bowls which are also fragile and the unglazed clay ones (most popular here) sometimes spontaneously break due to being exposed to heat for long times.

As for stems, a veteran hookah guy at a lounge (his job is to prepare hookahs ..... yes that is a job here with smoking hookah being a big/cultural thing) once told me that stems are the older the better provided that they do not switch flavors ...... What happens here in most lounges is the mark hookahs and hoses so each hookah/hose pair are used for a specific flavor ..... He told me that usually they do not wash stems very often, which results in the flavor coming stronger from that stem with consecutive smoking sessions from these stems ..... So it is actually the older the better .....

my bowl, vase, stem is 5 going on 6 this year. New MYA washable hoses, are on it, and today i got a vortex bowl, but I will still keep my old bowl. It's served me well for these years, and I'm sure it will continue to do so!

I bought my first hookah in -86 and my second in -91. The first is an Indian wooden hookah and the second is a Syrian style hookah from Turkey.

I still use them both but not very often (maybe once a year). The only thing I have replaced is the clay bowl on the Syrian, and I use different hoses.

The oldest rig I had was made in the 1880s/1890s and had a super heavy leather made in the '50s although the tips were merchum mouth piece and a wooden handle that was original. I lost it in a move about 8 years back.

I have a rotator that has been lying around the house for about 9 years i think or maybe 10. But i started smoking narguile around 5 years ago. The narguileh itself is in perfect shape, tho the hose never was.
With another hose it definately works like a charm.

Nope, when I had I used it pretty regularly are although the hose required special care. I also had a very elaborate Ottoman made narghile from about the turn of the century that had a brass tube with a merchum mouth piece rather then a hose. Apparently, that was a common style at the time. Both had these massive tombac bowls so I had a machine shop fabricate an adaptor so I could smoke moassel or jurak out of them. It litterally hurts to know that I lost those due to someone else's stupidity.
