Default Help me decorate a room, Arabic style

Hi guys!
I and my wife are thinking about decorating one of our rooms in an Arabic/Oriental style.
Our own private hookah lounge so to speak. Besides the obvious (hookahs), what else would we need to make it an authentic/genuine Arabic style room (rugs, tavli/backgammon games, colors, mosaic tiles etc.)?
Please give us some tips and also if you know of any good reliable web shops that sell these kinds of items I would appreciate the info.

If I can’t go to The Orient… I will bring The Orient to me. (^_^)

Hmm a backgammon game like this would be nice :
https://www.mylane.de/shisha-laden/p...spiel_perlmutt

a nice oriental lamp(looks very oriental :>):
https://www.mylane.de/shisha-laden/p...ennalampe_59cm

i think a seat cushion like this is a must-do ^^:
http://www.smoking-hookah.com/product/944001.asp

And maybe a turkish teaset or whatever =S

Very nice would be a little beduin tent, but i think it's too big for a room :>

// I gave you some examples on german online shops but i think you will get things like this also in american shops (is it on or in?^^)

edit:
a nice colour for the room would be light orange =/

Or the smaller one

I have the larger one and use it for my hookah, keeps it off the carpet but isnt too tall, plus its brass so any ashes wont damage it, just a little bit of brass polish and its good as new.

Mad props on those pics I love that style. I saw something similar to the third picture when I went to Thailand and visited a palace/temple. Just not as much red more yellow but very nice. I want an Arabic room now >.<

Pssst, really old thread, I'd say the room is either done, or never will be done.

Many thanks for bumping this thread. I had not seen it before.

The links for the brass tables are still good, and I am really tempted to get the large one...

My good mate has a room exactly like that, its amazing.

But if your gonna do it arabic style your 100% gonna need arabic coffee/teasets (they are very cheap my mum has like 4 sets) Also you'd need a poufee or some oriental style furniture, and like the other person said before, a nice handmade backgammon board, opened out and laid on a table does wonders to the room.

This is an old thread bumped by what appears to be a spammer. That said, I love this idea! I might do this one day!
