Default Question about KM hoses

So, i purchased a KM today, and i am a little concerned about the hose. I LOVE the style on it, but the fact that it isnt washable is bothersome.

So, my question is this: how badly do the KM hoses retain flavors? Because i dont wanna smoke like Mizo Mint in it, if i am NEVER gonna be able to smoke with it again without that mint coming through.

you may be able to get away with smoking mizo mint a couple times out of it and then smoking other flavors multiple times, but i wouldn't bother. a good rule to follow and remember, smoke mint out of a non-washable hose- expect it to be your mint hose. if you're one to pay attention to detail it will bother you.

So the jury seems to be a little hung on this. Any more input?

Also, @brad (or anybody else) is the ghost in just for a little while or is it more permanent?

I do not get ghosting in either of my KM ultimates. After months of use (and I am assuming even more as I got both used) I have not had any ghosting issues at all. Maybe for the first couple hits I will get a slight taste if the last flavor was stronger, such as mint of kashmir, but it goes away when the bowl gets going. Nothing ever sticks around for longer than 3 pulls.

Better feeling draw than the razan/nammor, and not ugly. KM ftw.

I am still debating between getting another KM hose (probably one of the leather ones with the crossed lacing on the handle) or a razan. I have used a razan before, but want to actually get one to see how well it hold up over time. I might just get a Grand if I go washable though. I haven't head anything about them falling apart, and they seem to work just as well.

Thanks guys. Very helpful. I guess i am in no hurry to get a matching razan for my new KM then, but i will get it eventually. I am just glad i dont need to be afraid of ghosts until then. lol

I smoke with my KM hoses very rarely...like when my razans start to taste like shit and I m too lazy, but by the time i pick up my KM hose again its fine, but thats about a week in between smokes. >.> I only use my KM hose for those back-up moments.
