I think esg's comment would be worth a shot. Use a small gauge hose and put it in a larger one. Seal one end, then fill it about 1/2 to 2/3 with salt water, then plug the other end. I don't think that the water would stay in the hose though, which would be a major problem.

As for the chamber, that's awesome! Might I suggest getting some copper tubing to run from the input hose to the output? Coil it around a few times, and you should be good there. You wouldn't have to worry about the holes getting covered or pulling water into the hose either.

Keep us posted on how it's coming?

Like the idea of coiling Copper tubing... bet it would look real nice, reminds me of old liqueur stills.

Ive seen two chamber systems a bunch... Ive even seen them as acrylic setups in local shops. Like other said if your going to have two chamber system... You might as refilter it through ice water... but I still do like the copper tubing idea. But I cant really see how low your hose port is....

A Two Chamber system is pretty easy to do... with a Mason Jar and some Rubber Tubing and some sealent/grommets. Your hose port off your second chamber should be on top considering once your ice melts your going to be getting water at that level I think.

I made a cooling device myself, check it out. the draw was a little hard so i dont really use it. ice in the base works for me after all the hard work.
