Default Natural coal help?

So I went out and bought a coil burner to light my naturnal coals and they still won't light. They turn orange up to the top. The top stays black. Are you suppose to flip them? Cause whenever I do the bottom half always goes out. I've left them on the burner for over ten mintues. And whenever I take them off, they just go out.

If you leave them on the burner for 5-6 minutes, flip them, let that side burn for another 5 minutes and still have problems either humidity or water got them or they are poor quality coals. Thats my guess.

with my wood coals its all about the size that u cut them into that helps them fully light if they are to big then the whole piece wont light so just flip them take them off and blow on them to see if they still glow if so throw them on the bowl and enjoy

The Natural coals really don't offer me any good smoke, but it is a good prep heat for a quick light.

your probably not using enough coals or something, heat is heat and a quick light is generally bigger...

Maybe I'm not. Its just after I use a natural coal and put a quicklight, the smoke is amazing.

If they are the odd sized "chunks" I personally find those a pain in the ass to use because their inconsistent. Next time you buy naturals I'd look for Exoticas or order the ******* Hookah Naturals. The Exoticas are long square sticks you score into 1/3's or 1/4's and the ******* Hookahs you don't even have to do that. Pop them on the burner let them heat for a few minutes give them a flip and heat for a few more minutes and your good to go.

Thanks for the compliment! I just speak from experience, bought a bag of the Romman Lemonwood coals shortly after getting my first hookah because of a bad experience with quick lights...short story, they ended up being used to cook burgers.

I have 2 packs o CH naturals that always the up side i black. I light them in the stove, and the up side is black, and i mean the whole up side. I flip them, and the same goes to the other side, although when under it was glowing red. I didnt had this problem with CH quicklights. I found CH quick better than CH naturals.
