Default a few questions...

so i am fairly new to owning my own hookah, and i seem to have more bowls end up being harsh and clouds not that big then having good ones. so what are some good tips to make it good and smoke pretty good? im pretty sure that its a km that i have but i could be wrong cuz my gf got it for me and im using deja vu shisha and coconara coals. and im not using a km hose either. thanks in advance for anyone that can help.

1.dont pack the tobacco
break it up and sprinkle it in there

2. rotate your coals around the edge of the bowl

3. dont let the tobacco touch the foil

remember that once you put the coals on, it will sag the foil. So what i do is i pack it so that if you hold the bowl looking at it from the side, you should not see any shisha peaking out. Then after that, take out just a couple more tiny pieces of tobacco and then you will have the perfect bowl

use 3x cocos put them on the edge of the bowl and if you really do want thick smoke try a wind cover but you can't have thick + long lasting smoke its one or the other. Dejvu I have found to be really sweet lol. I tried it with 2x EXO coals and smoke was decent but the buzz was nice

remember to sprinkle it in and dont pack it downthis helps the air the pull and doesnt let the tobacco clog the holes
try blowing from the bottom of the bowl (part that goes on the grommet/stem) to help loosen up any tobacco that could have settled down

if your using coconara coals try using 3 of them around the edges of the bowl and rotate them around as you go

I second all of the suggestions here but I do say that unless you are using a very large bowl two coals should be enough of any kind. What kind of coal are you currently using?

Very good advice here. If the smoke is harsh, that means that the tobacco is starting to burn. If that happens, take off the coals for a minute or two, blow into the hose to release the smoke from the base (assuming your carb is open), and put the coals back on and you should be ready to go. If you want a thicker smoke, try adding some milk to the base water, its effective and tasteless (but make sure you clean it soon after you're done with it, so the milk doesn't spoil)

its about the flavor not the clouds but some brands make great clouds... AF (Al Fakher) gives me big clouds no matter what... the more heat the bigger the clouds but you will at times sacrifice flavor. Deja Vu tobacco is not really as common as Starbuzz, Al Fakher, Al Waha... so I, personally, cannot tell you if it is a cloud producer.

The smoke has to travel through denser particles, causing the smoke particles to clump together more. Resulting in thicker smoke. Well my understanding of it at least,
