Cool Metal bowls

I made an order at sahara smoke a couple days ago purchasing some shisha.. they threw in a free METAL vortex bowl.. is there anything I should know about smoking out of a metal bowl before I give it a try?

Yeah, be very very careful when reloading the bowl / taking off the foil. It gets exxxtremely hot!

less coals may be a start, moving often may be ready, buy you can tell that if you pay attention to the quality of the smoke. less tobacco? not really....as for packing...not really.

i'd say start with a coal and let it heat up for about a minute. then start taking rips from the hookah.

not good enough? try another coal. i've never owned a metal bowl but i can tell that heat management will be harder with this thing.

I would say don't let the coals sit on the edge of the bowl. Start with fewer coals, and rotate them around in the middle of the bowl.

I would guess its similar to the pyrex bowl in terms of heat since both will get extremely hot very quickly

have you ever used a pyrex bowl?

I have tried a metal bowl a couple of times, and I never seemed to get it right. BUT- I have not given up, and I would like to find a way to get a proper smoke from a metal bowl. If anyone has any suggestions, I will give them a try.

I've been thinking of ways to get an awesome smoke from the e-coals and I was thinking of using a metal bowl. Anyone have both of them and want to give it a shot?
