Question Cleaning dahookah

Just curious here to how people clean their hookahs. Personally, the best way I clean is to use Formula *** (the number is 415+5). It COMPLETELY deodorizes.

Ok, good to know. Especially cause that Formula *** (the number is 415+5) costs 10 bucks. Its not that much, but I could be buying much better hookah paraphernalia than that.

Also, Madwolf, your signature image cracked me up. Kudos.

water, baking soda, beer, or lemon juice seems to do the trick. Any of those 3. As far as hoses go...I baught several cheap hoses for the diff. flavors I smoke and then Ive got a few really nice hoses that I use when I wanna be a show off. I never wash my hoses.

Baking soda and lemon juice does the trick for me if washed right after use.I've tried denture cleaner tablets, that seems to work also.

I've found that vinegar actually works quite well. Downside is that the place smells like vinegar afterwards though :/

I just tell my Hookah Nargeelah Sharmuta to do it for me.
In Arabic "Sharmuta" is a servant ,can be a varied ammount of types, one I don't think is mentionable but I didn't make up the word.
Today people who serve in hookah lounges get paid, in the not far past, they were slaves ,some whose main job was keeping the coals ready, making the shisha, adding spices, serving, cleaning and probably a belly dance or 2.

Yeah, this sounds like the most cost effective method. Thanks.

anyone tried denatured alcohol? I used to clean out the bowls and stems of my tobacco pipes with it years ago and it worked well. High evaporation rate.

I prefer to clean the bowl in the dishwasher. An old toothbrush is good to scrub out the crud. Then place it in the dishwasher.
